Asenal Park
BACKGROUND
Arsenal Park is an 11-acre public park located in the Fairgrounds neighborhood of Indianapolis, Indiana. Though the park was initially well programmed and has continued to evolve since its original development in the 1930s, today, many of the park’s features have fallen into disrepair. Sections of the skate park located on the site’s south-west side are no longer structurally sound, a community garden established more recently has not been maintained, and a lack of sidewalks makes the park difficult to access.
