During the summer of 2017 I had the pleasure of interning with Vera Bradley’s marketing department at their headquarters in Roanoke, IN. While completing my internship I worked on several projects, including the Weekend Warrior Challenge

The Weekend Warrior Challenge was a four week sweepstakes put on by Vera Bradley during July and August 2017. Participants of the sweepstakes were eligible to win one of four weekly backpack giveaways and a four-day trip for two to a stateside destination of their choosing.

Working with art directors, designers, and photographers I was able to create store signage, site assets, and several social posts for this sweepstakes.



The floor sign was created to remain on display in Vera Bradley stores for the duration of the Weekend Warrior Challenge. Because only one design would be printed for this sweepstakes, we wanted to ensure that all four of the weekly creatives were represented. In order to do that I pulled pattern elements from each of the backpacks and incorporated them into the design as well as the four skylines used from week to week.


Product Detail Pages (PDPs) are created each season for Vera Bradley's top selling products. I updated the PDPs for each of the Weekend Warrior Challenge backpacks to be live on the site for the duration of the sweepstakes. Other Site assets

Each week the Vera Bradley homepage was updated with a banner detailing that week's giveaway. In addition, anchors and assets were created for the Weekend Warrior Challenge landing page, viewable here.


Social Media

Social media posts were developed to display each of the weekly giveaways as flat lays, showing contestants exactly what they could win. These were posted across several social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In addition to the weekly posts, I designed a three image crop to be used on Instagram for the launch of the sweepstakes.
